Winter Tyres
Also known as cold tyres, winter tyres offer a specialist compound and tread the provides better grip and control when driving in wet and dry weather when temperatures go below 7oC; Perfect for British weather where temperatures are known to remain below 7oC between October and March, six months of the year.
Designed to work well in wintery conditions with snow and ice on the roads, specialist snow, mud and ice tyres generally have a larger tread block which can be noisier. These wear out quickly in dry weather and for those extreme climates snow tyres are available with tiny metal studs fabricated into the tread to bite into the snow and ice better.
